The Japanese concept of “Kaizen” is widely used throughout the automotive industry. Put simply, it is about the continuous improvement of products and processes. The philosophy behind it is straightforward: Only by constantly questioning and refining existing solutions can real progress be achieved. Even Ludwig van Beethoven is said to have remarked, “One should not think oneself so divine as to be unable to improve one's own work from time to time.” But enough of this detour into philosophy.
Continuous improvement doesn’t stop at great value-for-money replacement parts – even window regulators can be made better. That's why we’ve expanded our range to include models featuring ball-bearing rollers instead of conventional metal guide rollers. Original window regulators that rely on a simple metal pin bearing are often unable to withstand continuous use over the long term and can eventually fail.
Window regulators with ball-bearing rollers, by contrast, offer smoother operation and a longer service life. Internal friction in the cable mechanism is significantly reduced, meaning the window motor requires less effort to operate. Because ball bearings distribute loads more evenly, wear is also reduced, minimising material abrasion. By comparison, conventional metal-on-metal sliding contacts inevitably wear over time. Another advantage of ball-bearing rollers is that they operate more smoothly and generate less noise, resulting in quieter operation overall.
